Full Name: Arabella Marau
Species: Horse
Breed: Westfalen (( also spelled Westphalian ))
Age: 6 years, 4 months
Birth month: September
Gender: Mare
Alignment: Neutral? (( I'm afraid I'm still a bit confused as to what this is... ))
Size: 16.2 hh
Build: Well-Muscled; Lean; Powerful
Description: When it comes to coloring, Bella is nothing special; she is merely a dark bay horse with white socks on both of her hind legs and a coronet marking on her front right leg. Her face is decorated with a simple white blaze. Her black mane and tail, interrupted by the occasional brown or white hair, are full and long; her tail hangs just inches above the ground, while her mane comes two thirds of the way down her neck on both sides. Her eyes are a pale yellow-green, and if you look close enough, you can see a deep sadness hidden in them.
As is usual for her breed, Bella's muscular hindquarters and shoulders make her a graceful mover. That and her long, lean neck create a very hunter-esque horse. She is built for covering long distances with an easy, relaxed stride. At the trot, she often seems to float across the ground, with her head held low.
Personality: Arabella is now extremely wary of stallions, and she prefers to stay away from them as much as possible. However, she does enjoy the company of mares and foals, especially after her months spent in solitude. She tends to be quite compassionate, though much less so with stallions. She is respectful of others, so long as they respect her in return.
Due to events in her past, Arabella is often suspicious and a little bit paranoid, though once she gets to know a horse, she is quite trusting. She still holds out hope of one day finding her son, though she really only uses the idea as a way of keeping her depression at bay. The mare may put on a cheery demeanor, but on the inside, she harbors a deep sadness.
However, there is still hope for her to recover from her slightly traumatic past. All she really needs is a few friends to get her to open up and accept her past, and then perhaps she could escape her nagging depression and suspicion.
Despite losing her foal being the cause for her depression, Arabella is an unusually motherly horse, and she enjoys taking care of others. In a way, making others happy helps her to feel better.
History: Arabella was born into a herd, where she grew up with her mother, Alisa. Her mother treated her well, and Bella had a nurturing childhood. However, when Bella was nearly three years old, a strange Fresian stallion came and challenged her herd's leader, an aged Thoroughbred. The youthful Fresian was successful, and, upon seizing control of the herd, he decided it was too large and chased off several mares and a few of the colts. Arabella was among the mares forced to leave, while her mother was kept behind.
Bella spent the next four months of her life wandering unclaimed territory, trying to avoid all herds. However, at the end of those months, the mare decided she was too lonely and searched for a new family. Before long, she was claimed by another herd, and that fall, she gave birth to her first foal, a young colt whom she named Rawley.
When it came time for Rawley to leave the herd, Arabella was devastated, but still, she knew he had to go. The mare continued living in the herd, extremely depressed, for almost another year. Several of the horses around her began pressuring her to have another foal, but it was too much for Bella. She went to the Lead Stallion, an Arabian by the name of Quito, and begged him to let her leave. Feeling pity for the heartbroken mare, Quito allowed her to leave to live as a loner.
Arabella roamed for some time after that, still holding out hope that she might find her son. Before long, Bella began to feel lonely once more, but she was determined not to go back to a herd. She wished to be in charge of her own life from now on.
Other information: Arabella is actually modeled after my own real-life horse. <3 (( Although my Bella has never had a foal, and I highly doubt she is secretly depressed... xD ))
Just...ignore the rider. That would be me. xD
