• If pregnant your character must remain pregnant for three ic months (6 Weeks IRL).
• There are two breeding seasons in Temporal Dissonance. Winter and Summer. The Winter breeding season begins in January and ends in February. The Summer breeding season begins in May and ends in June. Foals conceived in the Winter season will be born 3 months later(April-May), and Foals conceived in the Summer months will be born in August or September.
• Keep in mind that the weather conditions affect how often a Mare will choose to breed.. If the conditions are right for her to be able to support a foal, she will breed.. but if there is a drought, flood or some other condition that is limiting the food supply they will most likely refuse to breed.
• A stallion may breed as many times as they want in a year with multiple Mares. Is it not uncommon for them to have more then one mate, especially the Leaders or high ranks.
• Mares and Stallions must be at least Two years old to mate. Twins are very rare in the younger Mares...But may be seen more often in the mares over Five.
• A mare is not able to have another foal until her current foal becomes self sufficient at the age of three months. This means they can have a successful breeding every six months or two foals a year. However if they miscarry or the foals are killed at any point they will be able to breed again within a couple of days.
• 1-2 foals are born to a mare, however more can be added with points. If more than two foals are born in a Foaling, all three will be smaller and more frail. If Four Foals are born one will be stillborn if not more.
• When your character becomes pregnant you must post on the Foals request form straight away. This is where you are given a due date and also can let us know if any points are going to be used on your foals to increase foaling size, or for unusual descriptions. You can also decide on the genders, builds and colours of the offspring so that admin may approve.
• Once you have admin approval for the new foals you can find players to adopt them. You may post them up on the adoptions board to find suitable roleplayers for them.
• Foals become playable when they are one month old, before that the mother may roleplay them as NPC characters.
• If a roleplayer has not been found by the time the foal is 2 months old, the mother will have to either consider the foal as one of her characters (Counting towards one of the character slots) until a player can be found. If the mother does not wish to do this, or doesn't wish to purchase the extra slot if she's full.. the foal will have to be killed some reason or another. This helps cut down on the NPC's and 'adoptable' foals.
